Assistant Pastor - Children and Family Ministry (Part-Time)
助理傳道 - 兒童與家庭事工 (半職)

We are seeking a passionate part-time Children and Family Ministry Assistant Pastor to spiritually lead, grow, and strengthen the faith of the children and families of our church and community. As a member of the pastoral team, this role includes preaching the Gospel to children and families, promoting the spiritual interest of the church, building relationships of faith and trust between various ministries, community engagement, and organizing and developing the church’s strength for the best possible service within the BC Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches and for the glory of God.

Successful Candidate Qualifications:

  • Vision for growing the children and family ministry at our church
  • Fluent in Cantonese & English; Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an asset.
  • 3+ years of pastoral experience in a Christian church
  • Adherence to the theological position of the MB Confession of Faith (https://www.mennonitebrethren.ca/mb-confession-of-faith/)
  • Theological degree from an accredited school

Seminary Intern

  • Bethel believes in supporting full-time Bible Seminary students where they can have the opportunity to develop and hone their God-given talents and calling.
  • Financial support will be provided at approximately $1000/month for a period of one calendar year.
  • The candidate is expected to serve at Bethel ~12 hours a week for one year period.

Seminary Intern - English Ministry

We are looking for an undergraduate seminary intern who has the passion to build up the foundation of young adults, youth, and children.

Main responsibilities will include leading the Young Adult Fellowship and the Preteen Fellowship (Grade 5-10), and teaching Children's Sunday School. There will be other opportunities to explore various areas of the English Ministry at our church.

Seminary Intern - Cantonese Ministry

We are looking for a seminary intern who has a passion for church music and the gift of choir conducting to lead and train our congregation for our Cantonese Worship Service.

Main responsibilities will include leading the choir, helping adult fellowships, and teaching Sunday School at our Cantonese congregation.
