Family News:

  1. An Extra-ordinary Membership Meeting will be held in-person on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 11:30 AM after the Cantonese Sunday Worship Service in the main sanctuary. The Family Forum will be incorporated as part of this Extra-ordinary Membership Meeting. An active member can authorize another active member by proxy to represent him/her in the AGM. Each active member can carry a maximum of three (3) proxies at each meeting. For details, please refer to the Notice and agenda of the Extra-ordinary Membership Meeting that are posted on the bulletin board and on our church website (www.bethelmb.org).
  2. After Joint Service, we will have our joint prayer meeting at 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Please join us to pray for our church's ministries.
  3. Missions Department will be organizing a visit to New Hope Community Services Society on Thursday February 22, 2024 at around 6:00 PM to serve the new immigrants and refugees there. We will be planning activities, preparing and serving food, and engaging in casual conversations that evening. Please don't miss this opportunity to get to interact with some of the people from other ethnic groups. For registration or enquiry, please contact the pastoral team.
  4. Bethel Chinese School: The 2nd term Cantonese classes will start on February 3, Saturday 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM. Children aged 3 and above are welcome to enroll. For enquiries or registration, please email the Chinese school: chinese.school@bethelmb.org or call the church: 604.434.8227 or download the registration form on the church Chinese school webpage.
  5. Kidz Ministry's Discovery Club will begin on Feb. 3 (Sat.) from 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM. Kids will learn about God through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Projects. Welcome Grade 2-5 kids to join. Cost: $50 per kid. Space is limited. For enquiry & registration, please contact Rev Alice Leung.
  6. The 2024 "Worship Thanksgiving Flower Presentation Form" has been posted at the entrance of the lobby. Brothers and sisters are welcome to give flowers for special days of thanksgiving. Please write your name on the "Flower Presentation Form". More than one family can participate in the flower donation each week, and the amount of each flower donation is still $50.
  7. Congratulations to our members, Immanuel and Anna. Praise God that Anna gave birth to their 3rd child, Isabella Raelyn Chicanot on Dec. 16, 2023.
  8. Julie will be on sick leave from December 19, 2023 to January 9, 2024.
  9. EM has started a course on Christian Worship every Wednesday night from January 3 to February 7, 2024 @ 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM in the basement chapel, for a total of 6 sessions. We will explore the theological background of each worship element in a church service. We pray that our worship gatherings will have a greater purpose with deeper meaning! We will conduct the course in English only. Please contact Pastor Peter Chong for more information and Zoom meeting info. All are welcome!

  3. 差傳部探訪難民家庭的跨文化體驗：差傳部正安排於2024年2月22日(星期四) 約晚上六時，到素里市一所難民服務中心有跨文化體驗，歡迎弟兄姊妹報名參與。我們將會預備膳食和一些遊戲活動，在輕鬆的氣氛之下接觸其中遷移到溫市的難民家庭，與他們交流。請不要錯過這個能夠與其他種族群體交流互動的機會。報名或查詢，請聯絡教牧團隊。

  6. 2024年「崇拜感恩獻花表」已經張貼在大堂入口處，歡迎弟兄姊妹為感恩事項或感恩特別日子獻花。請在「獻花表上」寫上姓名。每星期可以有多過一個家庭以上參與獻花奉獻，每次獻花奉獻金額仍為$50正。
