Notice of Deacon By-Election:

TO: Members of Bethel Chinese Christian MB Church

DATE: September 1, 2024

  1. The Board of Deacons resolved that the number of deacons in 2025 shall be seven. There will be six openings for next year.
  2. Thanks be to God! Ivan Chiu, Ivan Liu, Yi Jun Tan, Roy Tang have accepted the nomination and will become candidates to the 2025-2026 Deacons Board. Biography of the candidates will be posted on the bulletin board.
  3. Thanks be to God! Brother Roy Tang has accepted the nomination and will become the candidate for the Deacon By-election. Biography of the candidate is posted on the bulletin board.
  4. Deacon Election will be held in-person on Sunday, September 22, 2024. by referendum. On Election Day, active members can vote at church after Mandarin worship service or after Cantonese/English worship service. Election will end at 1:00 p.m. on the same day.

Please pray for the Deacon Election and vote on September 22.

Notes:

  • To be elected, candidates must receive a minimum of 60% of the votes.
  • A quorum of 60% of active members is required for the election. If quorum is not reached on September 22, another election will be held on September 29, 2024.

  1. 執事會議決2025年度執事人數為七人。明年執事會會有六個空缺。
  2. 感謝神！趙子文 Ivan Chiu、廖廣泉 Ivan Liu、譚毅君 Yi Jun Tan、鄧錦榮 Roy Tang 已接受提名，成為2025-2026年度執事候選人。候選人簡介將刊登在公告板上。
  3. 感謝神！鄧錦榮Roy Tang弟兄已接受提名為執事補選候選人。候選人簡介已刊登在公告板上。
  4. 執事選舉將於2024年9月22日(主日)以實體「全會友投票」方式舉行。常到會友可於選舉日在國語崇拜之後或粵語崇拜/英語崇拜之後在教會投票。選舉將於當日下午1時結束。

請為執事選舉祈禱，並於9月22日投票。

註：

  • 執事候選人需至少得到投票人數的百分之六十贊成，方能當選。
  • 投票人數需達到常到會友人數之百分之六十，若9月22日未能達到這投票人數要求，則會在9月29日再舉行投票。
