  1. Theme 2024: "Walk with Jesus with actions and in truth"
    Theme verse: "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." (1 John 3:18)
    Sub-theme for Summer (Jul-Sep): "Walk with Jesus, live out love"
    Sub-theme verse: "We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister." (1 John 4:19-21)
  2. Deacon Election will be held in-person today by referendum. On Election Day, active members can vote at church after Mandarin worship service or after Cantonese/English worship service. Election will end at 1:00 p.m. on the same day. Notice of the Deacon Election is posted on the bulletin board and on our church’s website, please refer to the Notice for details.
  3. Sep 29 is CM & MM Gospel Sunday, please bring along your friends and relatives to attend and hear the gospel. Most of all, pray for them to receive Christ.
  4. 2 new CM Sunday School classes will start on Oct 6 to Dec 1. Si Mo will lead a class exploring the origin of man (Gen. 1-5), non-believers & believers are welcome to join. Rev. Woo will lead a class exploring church problems (selected passage from 1 Cor.). Please go to the office for registration.
  5. Oct 6 is Bethel's 46th Anniversary, we will have joint worship to celebrate this great day at 10:30 a.m., and after worship we will have photo taking at the sanctuary and tea party at basement. Please reserve your time to participate this great event.
  6. A seminar on "Emotional Illness" will be held on Oct 20 (Sun) at 2:30 - 4:00pm at Bethel. A clinical psychologist & college lecturer will come to lead the seminar. Welcome to attend and invite friends to join. Free admission.
  7. EM Christian Education will have a Topical Study from the Lifeguide Bible Studies Series on "Anxiety: Finding Comfort and Reassurance from God". The author, Skip McDonald, is a mental health nurse who also suffered from anxiety and has designed this Bible Study to help others to combat anxiety. It will be 8 weeks on Zoom every Wednesday nights @ 7:30 pm-8:30 pm starting October 2, 2024. Please sign up with Pastor Peter Chong through email: peter.chong@bethelmb.org . The sign-up deadline will be September 29, 2024.
  8. Obituary: Our church member, Miss Yuen Yeh, Yung Lin (Pastor Tommy's Mother), peacefully passed away on September 13rd, 2024. The funeral service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery on September 26th at 10:00 am. May the Lord comfort the family.
  9. Thank God! More than 110 people attended the Mid-Autumn Festival Lantern Riddle Party held on the evening of September 16th. Thanks to the Outreach Department and brothers and sisters for their service in making the festival a joyful one for those in attendance. The Outreach Department produced a short video for those who were unable to attend to get a feel for the atmosphere of the day.
  10. A questionnaire regarding the time of CM prayer meeting and Sunday School is distributed to the CM congregation, please answer and submit it to the office, thanks.
  11. Pastor Tommy will take 3 days of bereavement leave from September 25th to 27th.

  5. 10月6日(主日)是頌主堂46週年堂慶日，為感謝主歷年來的關顧及帶領，頌主堂在是日聯合主日崇拜及大合照後，於土庫舉行週年慶祝茶會，敬希各會衆稍移玉步，到土庫參加茶會、分享生日蛋榚及拍照。
  6. 10月20(日)下午2時30分至4時將舉行認識情緒病講座，認識情緒問題和情緒病，了解情緒的影響力和對人生的影響，並且初步辨識有情緒問題人士的特徵和相處方法。嘉賓講員為關仲平博士 (註冊臨床心理治療師及大專講師)，費用全免，歡迎參加。
  7. 英文部基督教育將有一個來自 Lifeguide 聖經研究系列的課程。主題是焦慮：從上帝那裡尋找安慰和保證。作者 Skip McDonald 是一名心理健康護士，也患有焦慮症，她設計了這個聖經課程是來幫助我們如何對抗焦慮。從2024年10月2日開始，為期8週，每週三晚上7時30分至8時30分將在 Zoom上進行。請透過電子郵件向張俊德傳道報名：peter.chong@bethelmb.org。報名截止日期為2024年9月29日。謝謝。
