Notice of Deacon By-Election:

TO: Members of Bethel Chinese Christian MB Church
FROM: Alvin Chong, Board of Deacons Chairperson
DATE: March 24, 2024

  1. Due to Sarah Lok’s resignation as a deacon, a by-election shall be called to fill the vacancy on the Board of Deacons.
  2. Elected Deacon By-election candidate will serve the remaining term of the vacancy, i.e., until December 31, 2024.
  3. Thanks be to God! Brother Roy Tang has accepted the nomination and will become the candidate for the Deacon By-election. Biography of the candidate is posted on the bulletin board.
  4. Deacon By-election will be held in-person on Sunday, April 14, 2024. On By-election Day, active members can vote at church after Mandarin worship service or after Cantonese worship service. By-election will end at 1:00 p.m. on the same day.

Please pray for the Deacon By-election and vote on April 14.

Notes:

  • To be elected, candidates must receive a minimum of 60% of the votes.
  • A quorum of 60% of active members is required for the election. If quorum is not reached on April 14, another by-election will be held on April 21, 2024.

  1. 本堂將召開補選，以填補陳駱月華姊妹辭去執事職務而導致的執事會空缺。
  2. 當選的執事補選候選人將履行空缺的剩餘任期，即至2024年12月31日。
  3. 感謝神！鄧錦榮Roy Tang弟兄已接受提名為執事補選候選人。候選人簡介已刊登在公告板上。
  4. 執事補選將於2024年4月14日(主日)以實體方式舉行。常到會友可於選舉日在國語崇拜之後或粵語崇拜之後在教會投票。補選將於當日下午1時結束。

請為執事補選祈禱，並於4月14日投票。

註：

  • 候選人需至少得到投票人數的百分之六十贊成，方能當選。
  • 投票人數需達到常到會友人數之百分之六十，若4月14日未能達到這投票人數要求，則會在2024年4月21日再舉行投票。
