  1. Theme 2024: "Walk with Jesus with actions and in truth"
    Theme verse: "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." (1 John 3:18)
    Sub-theme for Summer (Jul-Sep): "Walk with Jesus, live out love"
    Sub-theme verse: "We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister." (1 John 4:19-21)
  2. CM Prayer Meeting will be held at 12:15 pm after CM Service in the sanctuary focusing on Music Department. Welcome all to join and pray for them and let us be a prayer-driven church.
  3. 5-minute Personal Evangelistic Introduction Training will be held on August 24 at 730pm. Those who registered please come to Bethel or via Zoom to attend.
  4. Joint Department Meeting will be held on Aug 25 (Sun) at 1:30 - 3:00pm. Department heads and leaders please spare your time to attend to facilitate a better communication and to build our church in unity.
  5. A Special Town Hall Meeting will be held on September 8, 2024 (Sunday) at 12:00 PM in the main sanctuary to present the basement kitchen renovation plan to the congregation. The meeting will be approx. 20 min long. Please reserve time to attend.
  6. KM would like to invite Parents and Guardians, KM workers and helpers, and those who are considering serving at KM to attend our Parent's Meeting on Sunday, September 8, 2024 after the Special Townhall Meeting @ 12:20 PM - 1 PM. Please reserve that day and plan ahead on your schedule. Lunch will be provided. Thank you for your cooperation.
  7. Deacon Nomination/Election arrangement as follows:
    • The Board of Deacons resolved that the number of deacons in 2025 shall be seven. This year, there are a total of seven deacons. Benjamin Kaan will have served two consecutive terms by the end of this year (not eligible to be re-elected); Alvin Chong, Yi Jun Tan, Wallace So, and Ivy Sheir will have served their first term by the end of this year (eligible to be nominated); Roy Tang will finish serving the remaining term of the vacancy by the end of this year (eligible to be nominated). Therefore, there will be six openings next year.
    • The Deacon Nomination Committee has already met and nominated 20 brothers and sisters in accordance with Bethel’s Bylaws section 11, Acts 6:3 and 1 Timothy 3:1-13. The list of nominees is posted on the bulletin board. All the nominees are required to submit their reply by August 18, 2024.
    • Two active members together may nominate other active members by first submitting the names to the Deacon Nomination Committee, then a written consent must be signed by the nominee, and such nomination must then be submitted to the Deacon Nomination Committee no later than 12:00 noon on August 4, 2024.
    • Deacon Election will be held in-person on Sunday, September 22, 2024 by referendum.

  3. 8月21日(三)上午10時30分至中午12時將有「福音粵曲喜相聚」聚會，歡迎弟兄姊妹出席，或邀請朋友一同出席，一同聽唱福音粵曲。
  4. 8月24日(六)晚上7時30分至9時，有 5分鐘個人佈道引入訓練 ，已報名者可選擇來教會或透過 Zoom 上課。

    • 執事提名委員會已召開會議，並根據本堂章則第十一項，及使徒行傳6章3節和提摩太前書3章1-13節，提名20位執事候選人，該名單已張貼在佈告版上。被提名會友須於2024年8月18日前回覆是否接受提名。
    • 常到會友中如有兩位聯名推舉其他常到會友為執事候選人，必需先與執事提名委員會洽商，然後還須該候選人書面同意，之後提交執事提名委員會彙集，截止日期為2024年8月4日中午12時。
