Notice of Referendum:

TO: Members of Bethel Chinese Christian MB Church

DATE: March 24, 2024

  1. To support the growth and development of Bethel and its ministries, a proposal has been presented to change the Sunday worship service time as follows:
      Current Time Proposed New Time
    Mandarin Sunday Service 8:30 AM 9:00 AM
    Cantonese Sunday Service 10:00 AM 10:30 AM
    English Sunday Service 10:00 AM 10:30 AM
  2. A referendum will be held in-person on Sunday, April 14, 2024 for active members to vote on a resolution whether they support the above proposal to change the Sunday worship service time. On the day of the referendum, active members can vote at church after Mandarin worship service or after Cantonese worship service. The Referendum will end at 1:00 p.m. on the same day.
  3. If the resolution to support the above proposal is passed at the referendum, the proposed new time for Sunday worship services is scheduled to take effect at the beginning of May 2024.

Please pray for the Referendum and vote on April 14.

Notes:

  • Resolutions must receive a minimum of 60% “in favour” votes to pass.
  • A quorum of 60% of active members is required for the referendum. If quorum is not reached on April 14, another referendum will be held on April 21, 2024.

 

全會友投票通知書：

敬啟者：

  1. 為配合頌主堂及其事工的增長及發展，現提議更改主日崇拜時間如下：
      現時崇拜時間 提議的新崇拜時間
    國語主日崇拜 早上8時30分 早上9時
    粵語主日崇拜 早上10時 早上10時30分
    英語主日崇拜 早上10時 早上10時30分
  2. 全會友投票將於2024年4月14日(主日)以實體方式舉行，讓常到會友投票表達他們是否支持上述的更改主日崇拜時間提議。常到會友可於投票日在國語崇拜之後或粵語崇拜之後在教會投票。投票將於當日下午1時結束。
  3. 若全會友投票通過支持上述提案的提議，則提議的主日崇拜新時間預定於2024年5月初實行。

請為全會友投票祈禱，並於4月14日投票。

註：

  • 議案需至少得到投票人數的百分之六十贊成，方能通過。
  • 投票人數需達到常到會友人數之百分之六十，若4月14日未能達到這投票人數要求，則會在2024年4月21日再舉行投票。
