  1. Theme 2024: "Walk with Jesus with actions and in truth"
    Theme verse: "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." (1 John 3:18)
    Sub-theme for Summer (Jul-Sep): "Walk with Jesus, live out love"
    Sub-theme verse: "We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister." (1 John 4:19-21)
  2. This year's Church Picnic will be held today in the afternoon. Location is Riverfront Park. Participants please report to the Registration between 12:00-12:45 pm. Please bring your own drinks and folding chairs. And also please bring hats, sunglasses and sun lotions for sun protections. Whoever need rides and the volunteer drivers please gather in the basement after worship.
        Time table:
        Report to Registration: 12:00-12:45 pm
        Lunch: 1:00-2:00 pm
        Games: 2:00-2:45 pm
        Fruit: 2:45-3:00 pm
    The Picnic ends at 3 pm.
  3. Due to picnic, today's refreshment and Cantonese prayer meeting will be suspended.
  4. Bethel Chinese School has appointed Pr. Angela Jung as its new principal. Pr. Angela has many years of teaching and pastoral experience, and the school is deeply grateful for this person. Pr. Angela will take up her new position in September.
  5. Baptism and Membership Transfer Ceremony will be held on Oct 13. If you want to participate, please contact your ministry pastor for Baptism and Membership course arrangement.
  6. There will be a series of training for ministry staff every Saturday night in August from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Members are welcome to sign up.
        1. Welcoming and reception training (Date: August 17)
        2. 5-minute personal evangelistic introduction training (Date: August 24)
        3. Visiting skills (Date: August 31)

  7. EM Summer Retreat will be held on July 26-28, and the English worship service on July 28 (Sunday) will take place @ 9:00 am at the retreat. You are welcome to join us through Zoom or physically at the retreat. The service will be recorded and available on our website by the evening. The Zoom link will be posted Saturday night (July 27th) on our church website (https://www.bethelmb.org/).
